Here at JMC Landscaping, we sell the high quality Bermuda grass, known as a reputable and popular sod for Southwest Florida and your landscaping needs. Bermuda grass is by far one of the most popular and widely planted grasses in the United States. Bermuda grass is extremely hardy and a beautiful grass to have in your yard. Bermuda grass is the perfect for your Cape Coral, Pine Island, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, or Naples home!
Known as the “Turf of the South” Bermuda grass is known to be a thick, lush, and very fast self-spreading grass. So if you are looking to get your lawn established quicker than some other grasses, Bermuda is for you! It is recommended that you begin planting Bermuda in the Spring because late-Spring and Summer are the best seasons for Bermuda to grow.
Since Bermuda is perennial, it’ll keep coming back and growing even more actively the second and third year around.
Bermuda grass also has an extensive root system that grows anywhere from 6 inches to 6 feet under certain circumstances, although that depth is uncommon. Its root system provides great resilience to heat and drought conditions, hence its preference among Southwest Florida homeowners.
In addition to its resiliency, Bermuda is fast growing and will need regular trimming during the rainy season. It is recommended, as noted above, to keep the grass to a 1 to 1 ½ inch height to prevent overgrowth. This grass will flourish under full sun and proper drainage. Good drainage is important because the grass might otherwise start to form a fungus; this is common among any type of sod or grass with poor drainage.
If you are looking for grass that feels good on your feet, looks good on your lawn, and thrives year after year, then Bermuda grass is right for you and your yard or next landscaping project.

Due to the fragile nature of sod grasses, all sales are final and there are no guarantees or refunds even if you follow all the care instructions on our website. For any type of sod to survive, it requires a minimum of 5 to 6 hours of sunlight per day and must be sprayed to prevent fungus and pests. Lack of proper maintenance for one day could cause newly installed sod to die. Due to the weight of our equipment and product upon delivery, damages may occur on driveways and sidewalks. The driver will only follow the customer’s instructions. By continuing with this purchase, you agree to release JMC Landscaping of any responsibility of such damages.
